ERP Support & Implementation Specialist

POSITION REVIEW:

The position will involve supporting the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Implementation Team and ongoing User Support for ERP Solutions that US LBM Implements.  ERP Support & Implementation Specialist will be responsible for assisting users in maintaining the Standard Operating Procedures set forth by US LBM and recommending enhancements to these procedures as a result of their testing and experiences.  They are responsible for communicating valuable information essential for management decision support of daily operators.  This position requires critical judgement, a high level of initiative, a wide degree of creativity and complex reasoning.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:

  1. Support existing US LBM operating companies and recent acquisitions in the conversion of their ERP system following post-implementation; ensure ERP Solutions are functioning correct and training is complete
  2. Manage support tickets for ERP Solutions by identifying the issue, testing solutions and training the users to resolve issues while adhering to the Company Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) documents.
  3. Support the Operations Implementation Team with helping to design, develop and maintain processes for Division requirements during ERP Conversion.
  4. Maintains liaisons with business, technical staff, and extended support organizations for resolution of ERP issues
  5. Troubleshoots application software and database problems on a timely basis
  6. Assists in developing procedures to ensure integrity of ERP system and databases
  7. Identify any process and software issues along with suggested resolutions to management for appropriate action.
  8. Train Users on Standard Operating Procedures and suggested use of the ERP Solution
  9. Adheres to established safety rules and regulations and follows all safety procedures; maintain a safe environment.
  10. Complies with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
  11. Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. 2+ years of diversified operational experience, 4 year college degree. 
  2. Experienced in implementing and utilizing ERP systems (Epicor, Oracle, SAP, etc.) preferred experience with BisTrack highly preferred.
  3. Process improvement experience preferred.
  4. Industry experience required - 2 years within the building materials distribution business required.  
  5. Experience working in a team environment and ability to work independently and set priorities and give guidance to other members of the team.
  6. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SQL or other related database applications
  7. Excellent interpersonal as well as oral and written communication skills. 
  8. Ability to travel and perform according to the requirements of the position; ability to travel via airplane to meet and coordinate with on-site conversion teams.  
  9. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs. on a random basis, standing, walking or sitting for extended periods of time and bending or stooping.
