Location Manager

Wallboard Supply is looking for an experienced and organized Location Manager to help lead our established Braintree, MA team!

*MUST HAVE SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE OF BUILDING MATERIALS*

*DISPATCH & DISTRIBUTION EXPERIENCE*

Position Review: 

Oversees and manages all operations activities and personnel within the location. May assist the Location Manager with sales and administrative functions. Coordinate shipping and customer delivery activities. Direct Company truck drivers on delivery priorities, routes and job site information. 

Essential Job Duties: 

-Maintain a shipping schedule for each day of the week to maximize deliveries according to the workload.

-Coordinate building loads, and material delivery to accommodate the shipping schedule at all times. 

-Ensure all deliveries have proper paperwork before any truck leaves the yard.

-Handle all customer complaints/concerns as received. 

-Must have understanding of P&L reports.

-Posesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Manages and coordinates all work activities of functional area.

-Establishes divisional goals.  Develops work schedules to meet these goals.  Ensures on time delivery and/or job completion. 

-Monitors equipment to ensure proper operation.  Develops and ensures adherence to the preventative maintenance schedule.

-Monitors work performance and quality.

-Reviews various reports and discusses successes and areas of improvement with supervisors.

-Coordinates work flow between departments and work areas. 

-Works to assure excellent customer relations 

-Monitors the safeness of the work area and ensures adherence to safety guidelines.

-Complies with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance. 

-Performs other duties as assigned by management. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

1.    Minimum education required—High school diploma or GED 

2.    Minimum experience required—2 years building materials distribution.

3.    Excellent verbal and written skills, demonstrated time management and organizational skills, interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with various levels of store personnel.

4.    Computer literate. 

5.    Physical demands include stooping, bending, twisting and sitting.  Working in a variety of climates and environmental conditions.  Ability to lift up 25 lbs on a regular basis and 50 lbs on occasion
