Operations Supervisor

We are hiring an Operations Supervisor to oversee the warehouse operations at our Miami, FL location.  We offer a very competitive and comprehensive salary and benefits package!

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Oversees all work activities of the functional area.
  • Communicate with dispatching to ensure orders are being pulled in proper order.
  • Ensure orders are being pulled accurately and efficiently.
  • Oversee receiving and stocking of inventory making sure inventory is stocked properly and bin locations are accurate.
  • Manage will call orders and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Completes cycle counts as requested by the Operations Manager.
  • Coordinate with management any inventory adjustments needed due to cycle counts.
  • Coordinate with management on eliminating non-moving inventory, identify and manage surplus and obsolete inventory and work with management to achieve the best-optimized inventory.
  • Oversee Tool Repair department and organize track tools before and after repairs.
  • Establishes work schedule and develops cost-effective plan to meet store operations goals.
  • Schedules and coordinates deliveries and/or pick-ups. Coordinates this schedule with sales and shipping departments.
  • Maintains forklift equipment and daily inspections.
  • Works to ensure a safe work environment and encourages adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Supervises personnel and ensures adherence to department/ company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains discipline, fosters good employee relations and boost morale. Performs other normal supervisory duties.
  • Ensures excellent customer relations and a high level of service.
  • Complies with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance. 
  • Adhere to established safety rules and regulations and follow all safety procedures; maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

  • Minimum education required—High School Diploma.
  • Minimum experience required— 2 years of experience supervising workers and workgroups in a related work environment, i.e. warehouse, lumber yard, etc. Ability to create and implement procedures. Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office and POS Systems.
  • Special skills required—Ability to develop, promote and maintain good customer relations. Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
  • Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending or stooping, regularly lifting 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds or more on occasion, and work in extreme weather conditions.
