Non-CDL Driver

Department: WSC - Braintree, MA
Location: Braintree, MA
Wallboard Supply is looking for a reliable Non-CDL Driver to join our Braintree, MA team!
Drivers are expected to work as a valued member of the shipping and receiving operations. All drivers are primarily responsible for the delivery and pickup of materials to and from the job site in a timely and courteous manner while safely operating their vehicles at all times.
Local deliveries throughout the Portland area, home every night.

  • Coordinates all deliveries and pickups with supervisor and may need to additionally coordinate with sales staff and customers
  • Follow division protocol while on the road or at a jobsite
  • Ability to plan route to insure most economical use of time and equipment
  • Learn and follow company procedures for deliveries and pickup of material
  • Verify accuracy of loaded product before and after delivery to the jobsite
  • Adapt and deal with unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, equipment failure, etc.) in an effective manner
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and reports, and signs for any corrective action taken for repair while notifying supervisor of any defects
  • Maintain cleanliness of all equipment used, to meet DOT guidelines
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods, etc) as well as with company policies and procedures
  • Complies with all safety regulations within the company and jobsites, including but not limited to; wearing safety glasses, hard hat, vests, etc. when required
  • Notify supervisor immediately of accidents or violations
  • Fully understands and complies with DOT securement standards


  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
  • Individuals need to sit, stand or walk as needed.
  • The associate must be able to lift 100 pounds regularly using proper lifting techniques.
  • Currently hold and maintain a valid Operators Drivers License
  • Ability to obtain valid DOT physical medical card
  • No major violations or accidents on driving record (past 36 months)
  • Ability to obtain certification and operate all material-handling equipment at division.
